Prayers
2 Chronicles 7:14
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
Prayers of salvation for the unbelievers
Scriptural Foundation:
Romans 5:6-8 “For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
1 Timothy 1:14-16 “Oh, how generous and gracious our Lord was! He filled me with the faith and love that come from Christ Jesus. This is a trustworthy saying, and everyone should accept it: “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners”—and I am the worst of them all. But God had mercy on me so that Christ Jesus could use me as a prime example of his great patience with even the worst sinners. Then others will realize that they, too, can believe in him and receive eternal life.” NLT
Prayers
1. I pray that the purpose of Jesus coming, suffering, death and resurrection be fulfilled in the life of the unbelievers.
I pray that they come to a point of godly sorrow that leads to repentance and salvation, in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
2 Peter 3:9 “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”
2 Corinthians 7:10 “Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.” NIV
2. Lord, I pray for deliverance and removal of every veil or covering that has hindered the unbelievers from understanding and receiving the gospel of salvation that leads to eternal life.
2 Corinthians 4:4 “The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” NIV
Acts 26:18 “to open their eyes, so they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God. Then they will receive forgiveness for their sins and be given a place among God’s people, who are set apart by faith in me.’” NLT
3. Heavenly Father, I pray for salvation and deliverance from sin, the oppression of sin, and the consequences of sin for the unbelievers.
Lord, let all the works of the devil in their lives be destroyed because of your birth, suffering, death and resurrection.
1 John 3:8-9 “He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.”
4. Lord, I pray that you open the hearts and minds of unbelievers to receive and believe the Gospel.
Acts of the Apostles 16:14-15 “One of them was Lydia from Thyatira, a merchant of expensive purple cloth, who worshiped God. As she listened to us, the Lord opened her heart, and she accepted what Paul was saying. She and her household were baptized, and she asked us to be her guests. “If you agree that I am a true believer in the Lord,” she said, “come and stay at my home.” And she urged us until we agreed.” NLT
5. Lord, I pray that all deception (personal belief system, philosophies, or logic that contradicts God’s Word) in the hearts and the minds of the unbelievers will be overcome, so that they can receive and believe the gospel of Christ.
2 Corinthians 4:4 “Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God.” NLT
6. Lord, I pray that you send me or someone through physical contact or media to share the truth of the gospel in such a clear and powerful way that it overcomes the unbelievers’ logic or belief system.
Ephesians 6:19 “And pray for me, too. Ask God to give me the right words so I can boldly explain God’s mysterious plan that the Good News is for Jews and Gentiles alike.” NLT
7. Lord, I pray for the mental strongholds that may hinder salvation of souls be demolished.
2 Corinthians 10:4-5 “We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments. We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God.”
8. Lord, I pray that God frees the unbelievers from the slavery of the devil and sin.
Romans 6:17-18 “But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you have come to obey from your heart the pattern of teaching that has now claimed your allegiance. You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.” NIV
9. Lord, no one can be saved except the Father draws him or her and extends His gift of grace.
I pray that God would extend His gift of grace to those that desire to be saved.
Ephesians 2:8-9 “For it is by God’s grace that you have been saved through faith. It is not the result of your own efforts, but God’s gift, so that no one can boast about it.” GNT
10. Lord, I pray that the unbelievers will accept and receive salvation that is by the name of Jesus only and God’s love for them that made Him to send His Son for the salvation of their souls.
John 14:6 “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
Acts 4:10-12 “be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”
John 3:16-17 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.”
Lord, as these souls are saved, we pray that you plant them in Churches and Ministries that will disciple them for their spiritual growth.
1 Corinthians 3:6 NIV “I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow.” NIV
I thank you, Lord. for answered prayers
